I recommend having both Toughness and a 45 hp Shroud item (once you can craft it). :p

I've got 390 hp on Chuckle with both and I'm happy with that. Clerics musn't be too squishy, they need to survive if they are to heal others.

well, healing isn't the main goal of this char, for that i have Siw with around 430 hp iirc (and 10 DR)

i made a hp breakdown on the official forum and ended up on 378 hp without a GS item or exceptional con and a +2 con tome. toughness only amounts to 42 hp btw (2 racial enhancments, no class enhancments)

378 on this build should be fine, although I'm curious about how you managed it without a Shroud hp item. It includes Minos Legens I suppose.

this is the general equipment layout i'm thinking about:
bow: damage stuff
helm: minos (+20 hp, heavy fort)
neckie: sup potency 6
trinket: nothing (head of good fortune or something)
goggles: can't think of anything useful except GS
armor: resistance +5
bracers: +6 str
gloves: +6 dex, maybe spectral gloves (dex would to got feet or ring slot)
cloak: +6 cha
feet: striding? ff?
belt: +6 con, gfl (amrath belt)
ring1: +6 wis
ring2: maybe diplo? lots of options anyway

did i forget anything important?

does tharnes work on ranged?

taking zen archer, toughness and empower (skipping out on emp heal and thus radiant servant) would free 2 slots for cha (cloak) and dex (gloves, if i'm lucky and get spectral gloves it would be ring or feet)
