This Quest is very confusing to find the way. Here are some crude descriptions that should lead you on the direct way to the end. it misses one shrine tough which can somewhere be accessed by acolytes

Some remarks for people who have never done this quest:
There are 2 "dimensions", you need to kill 4 bosses, each on first in the normal dimension (by lighting his torches using fire spells) and then in inferno (by first putting of the torches using ice spells). Only then the final boss will spawn.
There are 2 ways to switch dimensions: there are teleporters, they look like blue or red pools. if you smash them, everyone nearby (pretty near) will be teleportet to the other dimension. A smashed teleporter will be usable again after a minute or so.
The other way is trickier: At some places there are mobs called "Acolyte of the Flame" or something like that. They wear red robes and are always with some other mobs. If an acolyte dies, he works the same way as a teleporter, but you only have one chance, since they don't respawn. So make sure everybody is gathered around them when killing them. Additionally you must be careful to kill them behind their door, so you can open it in inferno from the inside. Btw: they are always found in the normal dimension. None of the acolytes is required to finish the quest, but you can only reach rest shrines by using them. Also the optional chest with the shield fragments and it's key can only be reached by using the acolytes correctly.

But now to the actual directions:

normal south:
start, go west, go southwest,
optional: go near the door and wait for the acolyte to complete his prayer, use him to get to inferno, open the door from the inside, you can't open the chest yet, go out of the room, go southwest, don't smash
if you didn't do optional: smash,
in any case: go south and follow the way, smash
go up, go east

west normal:
go back, smash
go the only way, don't smash
go north east, jump down (you pass west inferno)
go north, smash
go south

west inferno:
go north, smash
go south

normal north:
go north, smash
go northeast, don't smash and go on, surround and kill the accolyte in the room to get a shrine and a chest
go out of the room, don't smash, go east, smash
go south east, go north east, jump down (you pass inferno north)
open hidden door, smash
open door with lever

inferno north:
just smash

normal east:
climb up, go southeast
optional: smash, attract the acolyte behind the door by smashing the teleporter (either with ranged weapons and spells so you don't teleport. otherwise one person smashes the teleporter while the rest stays behind. that person can smash the teleporter in inferno once again to come back and help or just wait until the others have finished their job and come through the door in inferno)
use the acolyte to get to inferno behind the door, get the key

in any case: don't smash, go on east, smash
you can't miss it

inferno south:
go south, don't smash, go south, use the acolyte to get to inferno, shrine there
go west, grab chest, jump down
if the acolyte didn't work: smash, go west, jump down

inferno east:
go north, go east

boss:
go west

optional chest reloaded:
use dimension door
if you don't have a dimension door: go north, go northeast, jump down, climb up, go south east, smash, go north west, go south west, go south
in any case:
go west and south, smash
go north east and around the corner (don't jump), grab chest with shield fragment

Good work Siw. We can do another run tonight and follow this guide, then we will easily find any errors and fill in the missing bits.

another run today sounds good
and preferably someone who doesn't really know the quest should lead the way according to these notes, so we can find out if they also work for someone who has no idea

Ok, it's updated and confirmed now. It should show the shortest possible way, tough it misses one of the rest shrines.

Thanks a lot for this, Siw. I'll use it when I flag Ganthra for Abbot to error-proof it.
